On-campus activities
The Simon Recreation Center is a 120,000-square-foot hub of all fitness and wellness on campus. It features a pool, whirlpool, sports courts, a bouldering wall, fitness center, spinning studio, indoor track, locker rooms and lounge areas, among other amenities.

Sports
Downtown St. Louis is home to the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team and the St. Louis Blues hockey team (the 2019 Stanley Cup champions!). In 2022, St. Louis will gain a brand new Major League Soccer team, which will also be headquartered downtown. Additionally, SLU has 16 Division I NCAA sports teams, including men’s and women’s basketball and soccer, and students can attend all SLU sporting events for free with their student Ids.

Entertainment
You can find big-name entertainers performing in concert at SLU’s Chaifetz Arena, downtown’s Dome at America’s Center and Enterprise Center, and the Pageant in the Loop, to name a few. At. SLU LAW, you’re also just minutes away from Grand Center, the city’s thriving arts and entertainment district, with live theater and concert halls. For nightlife, stroll down the Loop in University City, which is considered one of the “10 Great Streets in America.“

Attractions and Recreation
In Forest Park – bigger than New York City’s Central Park – you will find the Saint Louis Art Museum, Saint Louis Zoo, Missouri History Museum and Saint Louis Science Center (all of which have free admission), along with the nation’s oldest and largest musical theater venue the Muny, the Boathouse, and miles of biking and walking trails.

For something a bit more funky, check out the 10-story slide and indoor cave system at the nearby City Museum, or visit the brand new St. Louis Wheel and St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station. Other attractions include the Missouri Botanical Garden, the Fabulous Fox Theatre, world-class Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, award-winning wineries outside the city and of course, the famous Gateway Arch.

Support for parents/disabled people

Saint Louis University is committed to supporting pregnant and parenting students. Regardless of the student's situation — married or single, individual or multiple children, alone or with support — SLU is here to help. More information here.

SLU LAW Disability Services aims to lead campus efforts to recognize disability as a valued aspect of diversity and to embrace accessibility as a matter of social justice. In doing so, we are committed to designing inclusive and equitable environments. When barriers to access are encountered, we will collaborate with the student to determine appropriate academic accommodations. If you experience or anticipate a barrier to access, please contact Shannon Morse, assistant dean of students for activities and leadership, as early as possible so that you can work with her to determine the most effective approach. Dean Morse serves as the disability services coordinator for SLU LAW and is committed to providing students with confidential advice.
