Admiralty and Maritime Litigation attorney // Morgan & Morgan, Republic of Panama

Why did you choose to study law?

Ever since I was a kid I dream about been a litigator. Afterwards, when I graduated from high school, I discovered maritime law and how important it is for my country thanks to the Panama Canal and others.

Why did you choose to study at Tulane University Law School?

TULS has the most prestigious maritime law program in the World. Also, Tulane University, and New Orleans, have a strong relationship with Panama.

What was your contact to other students like?

I had the chance to study not just with Americans but with internationals as well. This gave me the opportunity to learn from other cultures, backgrounds and legal systems.

Did you profit from Tulane University Law School’s network?

Absolutely. Ever since I graduated from TULS I have had the chance to work with other fellow tulanians from around the globe. Either because I have contacted them for new cases or viceversa.

Do you still have contact to your study colleagues?

Yes. I text them on a regular basis.

Where there any alumni reunions after you finished your LL.M?
If yes, how did they look like?

Not yet we are hoping to have one next year.

How did attending Tulane University Law School change your career?

TULS taught me not just to be a better attorney, but a better person as well. My time during Law School there sharped my analitical skills and taught me to embrace different scenarios for different cases.

Which was your favorite course / part of the program you attend?

Each class was unique, but if I have to choose only one I will say it was the Admiralty Seminar with Prof. Robert Force.

Why would you recommend Tulane University Law School’s study program to future students?

New Orleans and Tulane stays with you wherever you go. Also, it does not matter what is your Law area, you will always find a tulanian in said area in every part of the World.
