Why did you choose to study law?
I have always been interested in understanding how different countries handle similar matters, and how they manage to find rules that apply cross-border.
Why did you choose to study at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law?
I’ve always looked at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law as one of my top choices, if I’d ever decided to study law in a different country. I didn’t want to pick a West Coast institution because having worked in tech for years, I wanted to experience a different environment. Northwestern Pritzker School of Law also offered the right program for me: I work on IP matters, but I’ve always loved Competition Law – the ELLMC focused on the combination of the two areas and was just perfect.
What was your contact to other students like?
I became friends with some of the other students. It was great to be surrounded by like-minded people, just as passionate about the law as I am.
Did you profit from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law’s network?
Not really, but probably just not yet.
Do you still have contact to your study colleagues?
Yes. Some became my friends for life.
Where there any alumni reunions after you finished your LL.M?
If yes, how did they look like?
No, but I know there’ll be probably one in Europe in 2019, and I am already looking forward to it!
How did attending Northwestern Pritzker School of Law change your career?
It made me even more confident about my choice to work in the legal field, and helped me tremendously in understanding the US perspective when it comes to Intellectual Property law.
Which was your favorite course / part of the program you attend?
Definitely the Intellectual Property and Competiton Law classes. Very interesting and innovative.
Why would you recommend Northwestern Pritzker School of Law’s study program to future students?
Without a doubt.
