We are looking to hire a talented Senior Legal Counsel, Supply Chain, to join our legal team to support the Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg. In this role, you will support the purchasing manufacturing and engineering teams with supply chain matters in connection with the vehice production parts of the manufactuting facility. The focus for this role is to be the trusted advisor for manufacturing, engineering, and procurement teams at the factory. You will be part of a global legal team that supports facilities and special projects throughout the world.

What You’ll Do

• Support commercial and procurement teams on a variety of transactions and negotiations, including drafting and reviewing contracts in connection with sourcing for production parts (i.e., logistics, real estate, utility agreements and NDA’s).
• Manage the enforcement of respective contracts (i.e., warranty claims, default notices, general claim management as well as dispute resolution)
• Provide strategic legal advice to manufacturing, engineering, and purchasing leads in supply chain insolvency matters
• Liaise with global Legal and Supply Chain teams to ensure global consistency
• Make an impact on organization and structures
• Report about and montior market developments in vehicle production parts supply chain matters

What You’ll Bring

• At least 5 years’ relevant experience at a law firm and/or in-house corporate international environment, ideally with a commercial legal background, with an exceptional ability to handle a high workload of complex legal matters at the same time
• Experience in automotive sector (OEM or Tier 1), specifically dealing with supply chain contracts such as supplier risk assessment, supplier insolvency etc.
• Team player with the ability to proactively identify problems, drive projects, and execute pragmatic/creative legal and business solutions on a timely basis
• Inspire trust, forge relationships quickly with key stakeholders at all levels, and earn the confidence and cooperation of your business partners
• Work well both autonomously, collaboratively and transparently, and are effective at juggling and prioritising competing tasks in a fast-paced, challenging environment
• Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, quick and flexible learner with high standards, impeccable integrity and ethics, unquestionable good judgment, and well-honed analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills, with a business level to near-native level fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
• Good sense of humour, disdain for drama, and a desire to get things done
