The majority of LL.M. students are practicing attorneys with 4-5 years of experience. We welcome students from a range of professions and with varying levels of professional experience.

International students

Our students come from all over the word. In recent years students have come from countries such as Brazil, China, Korea, Nigeria, Singapore & India. We have global partnerships with top IP universities in China, Ghana, India, Ireland, Korea, and Taiwan.

Study location

UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law is located in Concord, New Hampshire, the historic state capital. Just steps from the capitol building and all branches of state government, the campus is next to White Park, a beautiful century-old public park with walking trails, an outdoor pool, playground and a pristine pond that is a popular spot for ice skating in the winter. 
The campus is walking distance to Concord’s vibrant city center, with a wealth of restaurants, local shops, independent bookstore, independent theatre, and a variety of cultural and historic attractions and events.
The surrounding region, including New Hampshire’s beautiful seacoast, the White Mountains National Forest, and the nearby Lakes Region, is rich with recreational activities for any season.
Boston is an hour away and Montreal and New York City are about four hours by car or bus. Concord is also just 30 minutes north of Nashua, Salem and Manchester - New Hampshire’s “golden triangle” of high tech and business development.

Most students find housing within walking distance to campus and downtown. UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law has partnered with 
Places4Students.com, a company that specializes in providing Off-Campus Housing solutions for students. This service is FREE for anyone to use as an effective method of finding a place to live off-campus or finding a roommate. Students can search rental listings in the Concord area here. Club & Society

Students at UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law are involved in an array of organizations that enhance the day-to-day life at the school. Leisure activities

Enjoy the four seasons by leaf peeping and apple picking in the fall, skiing, sledding, or ice skating in the winter, watching the flowers bloom in the spring, hiking in the White Mountains, and spending a day at the beach in the summer. Concord’s newly revitalized downtown offers activites for lovers of food, books, theatre, and the arts, and is the center of several special events throughout the year, such as Market Days, Halloween Howl, and Midnight Merriment. Students looking to connect with young professionals from the greater Concord community can participate in free, monthly networking events hosted by the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce.

UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law welcome students of all abilities. Our Assistant Dean of Students provides individualized support to students in need of accommodations. UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law welcomes families along with students. The Assistant Dean of Students works with international students who bring their family to provide transitional and ongoing support. Concord is a wonderful place for families and has excellent public and private school options.
